NJ NCSY REGIONAL POLICY:
1. If an NCSYer cancels their registration for a Shabbaton before the application deadline (which is usually, but not always, 10 days before the Shabbaton), NCSY will give them a full refund.
2. Should the NCSYer cancel their registration between the application deadline and the Sunday before the Shabbaton begins, they will receive a 50% refund, and 50% credited towards next Shabbaton.
3. If the NCSYer cancels their registration the week of the Shabbaton (after Monday morning), they will not receive a refund. However, 50% of their registration money will be credited for their next Shabbaton.
4. If no notification is given, no money will be refunded or credited.
In order to cancel a Shabbaton registration, either the participant or their parent/guardian must notify the Regional Office by phone of the cancellation at 201-862-0250. Notifying a chapter advisor, representative, or local Rabbi is not sufficient, and no refund can be made in such cases.
All refunds will be processed in the way payment was received. In lieu of refund, credit may be issued to the NCSYer or another member of the NCSYer's family to be used immediately or for future events.
Refunds will be processed within 30 days of the close of the event.
